Learn about “Raise Your Voice” Singing Club

  • Two 60-minute zoom singing session every month. Professional voice teachers give you a little bit of vocal technique exercises, then we sing songs together. At the end you can ask questions about your own voice. That’s it! We are going to have fun and get a little bit better at singing.

  • The “Raise Your Voice” Singing Club is for every age, every gender, every level of singer! We have 70-year-olds and 12-year-olds and everyone in between. We have music teachers, choir directors, and total beginners. If you want to sing, you are IN! We only ask that you respect everyone in the club no matter who they are. This is a politics-free zone!

  • We meet on Wednesdays from 1-2 Pacific Time for July and August. The exact dates are: July 16 & 30 and August 13 & 27. After that we will ask you what time works best for you. But don’t worry if you have to miss a session, they will all be recorded and you’ll have 24/7 access.

  • $37/month

You’ll be joining Dr. Susan Mohini Kane’s Patreon Page which comes with lots of other benefits besides our twice monthly singing club meetings…like regular Tiny Concerts, vocal technique downloads, discounts on concert tickets etc.

  • Not unless you choose to…

When we sing together you will mute your sound and just sing in your own room, raising the vibrations of your own space and time. Then, if you have a question about your singing it would be your choice whether or not to demonstrate for us over zoom. You can also just ask a question. If you ever want to share a song, you can do that too.

  • Nope! We hope you start to trust yourself and truly enjoy getting better at singing!

Meet the Voice Teachers

Susan Mohini Kane, DMA & Joseph Gàrate

Susan Mohini Kane

  • Enchanting singer and teacher, Susan Mohini Kane, captivates and uplifts audiences and students with her soulful and honest teaching and performances of scintillating songs and stories. Her 2024 CD Release Tour inspired a description of her music as “champaign for the soul” by a bewitched audience member. This multi-instrumentalist and songstress, Dr. Susan “Mohini” Kane, also surprisingly holds a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and education from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree and Doctorate in vocal performance from The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A tenured full professor for many years, in 2020 Kane took her own advice and made the leap from the university into the world [The 21st-Century Singer: Making the Leap from the University into the World Oxford University Press, 2015] by leaving her university teaching position and going out on her own as a singer-songwriter and vocal teacher/coach. As a voting member of The Recording Academyâ Kane was able to submit her first album of original songs: Waking Up in Wonderland for consideration. Though it did not glean a nomination, her songs, performances and teaching continue to uplift, heal, and inspire.
